March 2027 Flying Star Forecast: Family Finances in the South

March's chart takes effect at 3:39 a.m. on March 6, 2027, and gives way to April's at 8:17 a.m. on April 5 (UTC+8). The year's stars, in place since February 4, stay where they are; the month's stars are what changed.

The biggest move is the month's 5 Yellow, which spends this month's window in the Northwest. It joins the year's 5 Yellow in the North, so two rooms on the north side of the chart are best left to themselves for now.

Three sectors lead. The South holds the month's 8 White, and the South's Fire feeds it, which makes it the room for money and family planning. The Southwest carries two good stars, one for standing and one for career. The central room holds the year's 9 Purple with the month's 4 Green and no difficult star beside them. At the other end, the East and the Northeast each host two inauspicious stars and want a quiet month.

To read your own building rather than the month in general, give the Flying Star calculator the way it faces and the year it was built or you moved in.

This year each sector's Annual star is the same number as its Period star.

Annual disturbance directions for 2027

  • Tai Sui (Grand Duke) — 未 / SW1: 202.5°–217.5°
  • Sui Po (Year Breaker) — 丑 / NE1: 22.5°–37.5°
  • San Sha (Three Killings) — 申 (Southwest) / SW3: 232.5°–247.5°; 酉 (West) / W2: 262.5°–277.5°; 戌 (Northwest) / NW1: 292.5°–307.5°

These mark cautions for optional drilling, digging, and demolition. Necessary safety work takes priority.

Where is each sector in my home or workplace?

Works and repairs. Five sectors are closed this month to optional work that opens up the structure, from walls and floors to digging: the Southwest (Tai Sui, San Sha), the West (San Sha), the Northwest (San Sha, the month's 5 Yellow), the Northeast (Sui Po), and the North (the year's 5 Yellow). Tai Sui (the Grand Duke), Sui Po (the Year Breaker), San Sha (the Three Killings), and the year's 5 Yellow hold their sectors through the solar year, until February 4, 2028; only the month's 5 Yellow in the Northwest leaves on April 5, and San Sha keeps that limit in place after it goes. Urgent repairs are done regardless.

Southeast Mixed

Period 8 (retiring) · Annual 8 · Monthly 3

  • This month: Do your money work on paper in the Southeast, and take disputes and anything easy to pocket elsewhere.
  • Watch for: Conflict & lawsuits · Theft & loss

The Southeast is a room of two moods in March. Its visitor this month is the 3 Jade [三碧], which stirs up quarrels and lets things go missing. The 3 is Wood, like the Southeast, so it works at its strongest here, and tempers in this room run short. A contested invoice or a disagreement over a lease belongs in another part of the space, and so does a wallet left on a shelf.

The year's 8 White [八白] is the sector's fortunate side, and it looks after money and family. Give it the desk tasks: reconciling March's statements, or sorting the receipts for a reimbursement claim.

South Favorable

Period 4 (untimely) · Annual 4 · Monthly 8

  • This month: Bring family money plans and arrangements with relatives into the South while March lasts.

February opened a good stretch for the South, and March is its second and last month: from April 5 the chart rates it Caution. Plans that belong here are best made before then.

The month's 8 White [八白] is the reason. The South's Fire feeds the 8's Earth, which gives the star more weight in this room. Bring it money and family matters: work out with your partner how to split the cost of a summer trip, or settle with a sibling which weekends each of you spends with your parents.

The year's 4 Green [四绿] is a supportive star of study. It lends the room to reading: the backlog of saved articles, or the manual for software you've been meaning to learn.

Southwest Favorable

Period 6 (untimely) · Annual 6 · Monthly 1

  • This month: Settle questions of who leads, and keep your working life moving, in the Southwest, with its walls and floors left intact.

March starts the Southwest's best run of the year so far: the chart rates it Favorable through May.

The year's 6 White [六白] is a benefic star of authority and standing. It suits anything that decides who has the final word, such as writing the rules for a band you've agreed to lead. The month's 1 White [一白] serves the working life you have now. Update the portfolio, reply to a recruiter, or put hours into a certification your field expects.

Tai Sui and San Sha both sit in the Southwest for the year. Leave any optional work that cuts into the structure out of this room, and let necessary repairs go first.

East Caution

Period 7 (untimely) · Annual 7 · Monthly 2

  • This month: Treat the East as a place to pass through on errands, with no work or hobby set up in it.
  • Watch for: Health · Family & people · Injury & accidents

Neither of the East's visitors is kind this month. The 2 Black [二黑] comes with the month and brings illness. The year's 7 Red [七赤] adds cutting words, injuries, and losses. Walk in for the thing you came for and walk out again; the sewing table or the exercise bike belongs in another room for now. A quiet East reduces what these stars can do, though it doesn't end the risk.

The 2's tie to health is a reason for ordinary care, such as a cough checked or a prescription renewed on time, and never a diagnosis.

Center Favorable

Period 9 (reigning) · Annual 9 · Monthly 4

  • This month: Gather people in the central room, and give its quiet hours to reading and writing.

The year's 9 Purple [九紫] is a lucky star of celebrations and recognition, and this month no difficult star shares the central room with it. Host the dinner for a friend's new citizenship here, or hang the certificate someone close to you has earned. The 9 moves fastest of the nine stars, and its influence comes in one burst rather than by degrees; that describes the star, not what any evening here will lead to.

The month's 4 Green [四绿] supports study. Between occasions, the room suits a chapter of a novel draft or a grammar unit in a language course.

Nothing afflicts the central room and the 5 Yellow is elsewhere, so tradition makes it this month's place for planned works: a new floor, say, or fresh paint on a wall.

West Mixed

Period 2 (growing) · Annual 2 · Monthly 6

  • This month: Bring a test of your standing into the West, and leave the room quiet the rest of the time.
  • Watch for: Health · Family & people

San Sha keeps optional work that opens walls or floors out of the West for as long as 2027's stars stand; a repair that can't wait is the exception.

The month's 6 White [六白] is why the West is not a Caution sector this month. The 6 is Metal, the West's own element, so the West gives the star its whole force, and it favors moments when your rank is on the line. Rehearse your answers for a promotion board here, or go over the figures you'll present to the people who decide your grade.

The year's 2 Black [二黑] is the other side of the room, and it weighs on health and family. Outside those occasions, the West does best left without a daily use.

Northeast Caution

Period 3 (untimely) · Annual 3 · Monthly 7

  • This month: Keep the Northeast swept and in good order, and give it nothing to do.
  • Watch for: Injury & accidents · Theft & loss · Conflict & lawsuits

Sui Po holds the Northeast until February 4, 2028, which keeps digging and wall work out of it; a leaking pipe or a broken step gets fixed as soon as it's found.

Two afflictive stars share the room. The month's 7 Red [七赤] brings injury, loss, and sharp words, and the Northeast's Earth feeds it, so the 7 hits harder in this room than its nature alone would suggest. Keep knives, ladders, and power tools for other rooms until April. The year's 3 Jade [三碧] adds a pull toward quarrels and theft.

Order in the room keeps the odds down; it doesn't take the stars away. Shelves in order, floor clear, nothing left half done.

North Caution

Period 5 (untimely) · Annual 5 · Monthly 9

  • This month: Leave the North to itself, and keep a bedroom there restful.
  • Watch for: Health · Family & people

The North has the longest difficult run on this chart: Caution since January, and every month through October at least. The cause is the year's 5 Yellow [五黄], the most harmful of the nine stars. It holds the sector until February 2028 and rules out elective renovation that breaks into the building, necessary repairs aside.

The month's 9 Purple [九紫] brings occasions and honors, and it eases the 5 without cancelling it. Standing opposite its home [衝], the 9 gives less than it would elsewhere.

If the North is where someone sleeps, it can stay a bedroom. Keep it quiet and free of new projects, stacked boxes, and the overflow from other rooms.

Northwest Caution

Period 1 (rising) · Annual 1 · Monthly 5

  • This month: Hand the Northwest over to storage for March, and step in only for what you can't do elsewhere.
  • Watch for: Health · Family & people

The 5 Yellow [五黄] spends March in the Northwest. No star does more damage, and the year's 1 White [一白], good for a career, softens it without making the room fit for work this month.

San Sha already closes this sector to optional structural work, and the month's 5 adds a second reason until April 5; anything that needs fixing is fixed first.

Let the room hold things rather than people: suitcases, off-season coats, and the box of tax papers you'll need in April.

How to use this forecast

Use the good rooms, leave the cautious ones still. The classical texts treat activity as an amplifier: a good sector gives nothing until it is used, and a caution sector does no harm until it is disturbed. Where two caution stars share a sector, keeping it quiet lowers the risk without removing it. By the same logic, a busy room, at home or at work, with people, pets, and conversation, counts as use.

When a room can't move. A desk or a bed is not always easy to move. If yours sits in a Caution sector, keep it tidy and quiet, spend less time there where you can, and take the work that matters to a Favorable room.

Your own building's stars. This chart is the same for every home and workplace. Yours has its own stars, set by when it was built and which way it faces, and they decide where water, a stove, or a bed belongs.

The era. We are in Period 9 (2024–2043). Its reigning star is the 9 and its rising star the 1, which is why each sector's Period star carries a label such as reigning, rising, or retiring. The year's and month's stars on this page are read by their own natures, not by the period.

How to find each sector in your home or workplace
  1. Mark the middle of your whole floor plan. That area is the Center.
  2. Stand there with a compass, or a phone compass held away from metal and appliances, and find North.
  3. Each of the eight directions covers a 45° slice running out from the Center, 22.5° either side of its compass point.
  4. Note which rooms fall in each slice: bedrooms, desks, offices, the main door, the kitchen, a counter or till. Those are the rooms each sector section on this page is talking about.

The diagram uses the chart's orientation, South at the top. Tai Sui, Sui Po, and San Sha are narrower: Tai Sui and Sui Po each cover one 15° mountain, San Sha three, all listed under the chart at the top.

Treat the sector guidance as traditional planning symbolism. It does not replace medical, safety, legal, or financial advice, and urgent repairs or care should never be delayed for a symbolic timing preference.
